what i’ve never been able to understand is how parents could hurt the very human beings who are essentially the physical essence, the next generation of themselves

you were given children to love

So I just moved to a new big city last week, after a few days of boredom I finally escapes the house to a nearby mall. I was just wearing a old shirt and shorts, no make up at all, and hair till air drying from the shower. I stopped in the food court for some ice cream at Coldstone. Lord knows I can’t resist ice cream sometimes. I watched the man make my ice cream and then ring it up. I paid with my card, and while taking my signed bill back he looks at me and say so sincere and so honestly “I must say you are extremely beautiful”. This guy had never ever seen mean before, he doesn’t know what I look like if I actually do my make up, dress up and fix my hair. All he knew was what I looked like then and there, free of any sort of make up or nice clothes. Never have I felt like I’ve received such a honest compliment. To the stranger that made a new girl feel accepted, thank you. I will always remember that
